I love the illustrations most, the colors are often startling and beautiful. The words are often whimsical and winding, flights of fancy arising often from deep thought.
I keep Painting Pictures out as a coffee table book - even though its a little small for it! Its a quick read and a greta conversation piece. The way Zwiren plays with language in his poetry is actually pretty amazing - and then he pairs it with beautiful art work (all also created by him!). I wish the book came in other sizes, because I don't think the current size does the art enough justice. The book is even great for kids!
